The fourth TorMeo grass volleyball tournament, which will take place in Porto Recanati (MC), has a sensationally orange shade this year. The event is the brainchild of former Italian national volleyball team member Marco Meoni and has been sponsored by the local town council, the Porto Recanati Tourist Office, the Riviera del Conero Association and Clay Paky.

The appointment is for 27 and 28 July, with four-player mixed tournaments that will take place throughout the whole two days. The rounds (heats on Saturday and elimination rounds on Sunday morning and Sunday afternoon) are organized so that each team plays up to seven games over the entire weekend.

The evening of the 27 will feature the 2013 Aperol Spritz Orange Sensation Tour in Piazza F.lli Brancondi, with live music during the aperitifs and dinner and dance music from 10 pm onwards.

The stage will be rigged entirely with Clay Paky lights. Pio Nahum, the Bergamo-based company’s Sales and Marketing Manager, commented: “the sports world has always been close to the show business world, and Clay Paky owes sport some of its most important commercial successes in recent years, such as the lighting of the Olympic Games in London in 2012. Sponsoring sporting events such as TorMeo is also a way of saying ‘thank you’ to this world.”
