The acquisition of the Italian entertainment lighting company Clay Paky represents a major step in strengthening OSRAM’s expertise in the field of professional lighting systems. The “Day One” kick-off event in the northern Italian city of Bergamo was the perfect setting for the top management of the Specialty Lighting (SP) Business Unit to welcome all the Clay Paky employees to the OSRAM family. The future cooperation was celebrated in due style, and the participants enjoyed the delicious Bavarian and Italian gastronomic specialties served on this occasion.
The top management of Clay Paky and OSRAM SP, the integration team as well as all 120 Clay Paky employees at the corporate head office in Bergamo, came to the so called Clay Paky “Day One” event in order to join the celebrations of a future together under the one roof of OSRAM. During the official part of the event SP CEO Hans-Joachim Schwabe presented the Specialty Lighting business area to the workforce in Bergamo. Roberto Barbieri, General Manager of OSRAM in Italy, also gave a warm welcome to his new colleagues. In his address Pio Nahum, CEO of Clay Paky, stated that he is looking forward to the future cooperation with great anticipation and presented a welcome gift to Mr. Schwabe for the OSRAM company.
In addition to a minute’s silence in memory of Pasqual Quadri, the recently deceased founder of Clay Paky, a small monument was unveiled in an official ceremony on the company premises. Following the official addresses, presentations and the first board meeting, the merger was celebrated with Bavarian and Italian gastronomic specialties in a relaxed atmosphere.
